Eco Buildings provides the latest in precast walling systems.

Eco Buildings uses a revolutionary, low cost, pre-fabricated, load bearing wall product suitable for use in high-rise residential, commercial and industrial construction. 

Manufactured in an automated moulding process using glass-fibre and gypsum plaster, the permanent formwork provides a class 1 concrete finish and the dry construction process eliminates the need for wet trades including blocklaying and plastering. Simple methods of on-site fixing lowers labour time and installation cost.

The technology is extremely versatile and can be used both internally and externally. Eco Buildings products provide excellent modulation capabilities – the panels have load bearing capacity and are suitable for multi-storey buildings.

Manufacturing Process


Vertical Panel Casting Machine

Eco Walling is manufactured in an automated molding process. The Single Vertical Panel Casting Machine produces 1,200 sqm of wall panel per day. The panel consists of:

  • Calcinated plaster

  • Waterproofing agent

  • Water Curing admixtures


Drying System

After manufacturing, panels are air cured, in an outside vertical rack for drying. The drying rack is made of structural steel and has a vertical hanger separator to support the panel in a vertical position. It has a capacity to store 400 panels.

Drying solutions for humid climates are available.


Cutting System

Once cured and dried, the panels are brought back into the factory. 12-metre walls are cut using a computer numerically controlled (CNC) saw to maximize off-site fabrication. The 40-metre saw frame can accommodate 3 panels at a time for continuous saw operations.

Construction Process


Transportation

After cutting, walls are loaded onto stillages ready for transport. Up to 500 sqm of walls can be transported on one truck.


Installation

Eco Building can be installed:

  • manually – wall panels up to 1 metre;

  • by forklift – walls up to 6 metres;

  • by crane – walls up to 12 metres

The electrical wiring is concealed within the wall cavity, without the need to channel to groove out such services as in a conventional wall.

Filling

The wall cells are filled with concrete after the services are installed. Even when filled with concrete, Eco Building is more than 20% lighter than conventional brickwork.
